Anthony Rodrigues opened the scoring at 5:42 of the first period with assists going to Cody Torraville and Matthew Hlacar. ETA responded quickly at the 6:03 mark with a very tough shot high in the right corner on a cross crease feed. SCTA got the momentum back at the 8:04 mark with a goal by Hunter Coley, assisted by Jack McAra.
The second period proved to be tough for the scorers, with excellent goaltending by Davis Penner and the ETA goalie. Aiden Treanor scored a late goal assisted by Jack Legros.
ETA once again responded early in the third to make the game 3-2. Gabriel Longo closed the door the rest of the way. SCTA added two more goals to put the game out of reach. Jack Legros scored, assisted by Ty Gaudreault at 11:30 and Aiden Treanor added his second of the game assisted by Connor Doyle.
The SCTA team presented a balanced attack, strong defense and excellent goaltending. Congratulations to all players and coaches (Oakville U18 coaching staff) for making the SCTA proud!
